Android Application Development
Android is all set to become a new breed of mobile computers that are used to access the Internet and web based services and applications. Android has proved immediately after its launch that smart phones are no longer just smart phones. They are more of a computer than phone and are ready to surpass laptops at enhancing personal productivity.
The user interface is an important aspect of how well the phone functions. The home screen has an analog clock at the top with four application icons running across the bottom of the screen. The home screen set-up is entirely user customizable. Home screen offers a bunch of choices and adjustments to the Home screen can be made through pressing and holding. You can add, delete or move icons, application shortcuts, bookmarks and widgets at will. You can make Android your own compared to the rigid grid to which the iphone adheres. You can swipe the fingers to the left or right which brings two extra pages where the shortcuts can be stored and also the applications, shortcuts and the bookmarks can be thrown helter-skelter all over the desktop as on your computer screen.
Android has four default applications that are preloaded onto the desktop. They are phone dialer, the contacts application, the browser and Google Maps. Below the four default home applications there is a little dock bar after swiping appears the full menu. This screen is filled with more than 20 additional applications through which you can access and alter the entire phone settings with all the features. The most impressive application present on the Android is the Google Map with street view and the compass setup which actually pans the view of the area on the map. The contact application is easy to scroll up and down through a large number of contacts very quickly without any delay. The browser is another phenomenal feature of this device navigating web pages just using your fingertips. Finding and setting bookmarks feature on this 3.5-inch display device is a breeze and makes the browsing experience feel so good.
